Chassis cost

Estimated £ GBP

10%
Compared to conventional new build

What is this?

This is an estimated cost of the main WikiHouse chassis, insulated. It does not include windows, cladding, linings or fit-out. Your WikiHouse chassis replaces floors, walls, roof and many battens. It has a higher up front cost, but saves money later because it is so quick to build and so easy to fit-out.

How is it calculated?

This is based on material and manufacturing costs from recent projects. Find a manufacturer to get a precise quote.

£NaN/m²
Estimated per floor area

What is this?

This is the internal floor area of your project.

How is it calculated?

This is what is known as the 'gross internal floor area'. It is the entire floor area within the building. This includes internal walls and voids.

Upfront carbon emissions

Estimated net
0T
Project will remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere

What is this?

This is an estimate of the net amount of carbon that will be emitted in the production of your project. This includes both the emissions from manufacturing and transportation, but also the carbon stored in bio-based materials, such as wood.

Any stored carbon will be released if that material is burned or decomposed at the end of the building's life. Ideally WikiHouse blocks should be re-used or, ultimately, buried in landfill.
